Case Study 6
Annual Reports for the Reactor-Area Sites
Client: Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC)
WSRC needed support for characterization activities at five reactor sites that are regulated under various categories of a Federal Facility Agreement between the Savannah River Site, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
We researched, organized, and prepared annual reports containing historical data on waste generation, storage, and disposal, as well as summaries of soil and groundwater monitoring analytical data of hazardous and radioactive constituents for the previous five years. Some facilities in each reactor area are regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, or Superfund.
